Day 11 - June 26 The last couple days have been busy learning new puzzles and riddles, playing games such as Square-Up, Lazer Maze, Kanoodle and Abalone. We are hoping to get Cribbage in today! Yesterday we spent some time learning about optical illusions and trying to create our own. We hope you can join us this evening for the Open House (from 5-7). You can see many of the activities the students did as well as try your hand at some brain-teasers! Day 8: June 21, 2018 - Extended Day Students had a great time at the Stillwater Escape Room! Working together (and with some help from the Stillwater Escape Company) they discovered clues to allow them to escape just in time! Day 7: Students solved a puzzle to get into their lock boxes to find more brain teasers and puzzles! Day 6: Escape Room Z - Today the students had an opportunity to try out a mock escape room. Zombies had invaded and taken all the pizza. Students had to solve puzzles to get the pizza, find the zappers to destroy the zombies, and find the key to unlock the (pretend) balcony door. I think they are ready for the real thing on Thursday! Students may want to bring something quiet to do for the bus ride. Any electronics they bring will need to be left on the bus, so it might be best if they left them at home. Day 5 (Monday June 18) Today was a day filled with thinking - students had to Break the Codes given the clues, Solve a variety of puzzles on-line and learn two new games: Qwixx and Q-Bitz. Reminder that students will need to bring a cold lunch on Thursday for our field trip. We will be outside for part of the time so bring appropriate attire for the weather. If students have not paid the $10.00 fee, they are asked to so as soon as possible. Day 4 Students had an opportunity to tryout a digital Escape Room on Breakout EDU as well as play (or learn) the game of chess! Day 3 Today students were challenged by trying to complete a Pentalpha, a Grid Perplexor and SIM. The students also learned a new game called Krypto! Day 2 In addition to decoding the Atbash Cipher, students learned how to play Pente and Othello! Day 1 We had a great first day at Project Seek 2018. Students had an opportunity to decipher a Caesar Cipher, jump start their brain by doing Davinci Doodles and learn some new games such as Gobblet, Quoridor, Bold, Blink and Spot-it. We were so busy working and having a good time that I forgot to take pictures. Reminder that payments for the Field Trip should be brought in this week. Welcome! Hello and welcome to Project Seek - Brainy-Acts. Are you ready to have your brain tangled? I am looking forward to our journey together as we explore a variety of games, brain teasers, riddles, and mind-benders. Our 12 days together will be very busy with a variety of activities and challenges. Students are asked to come each day with a positive attitude and a growth mindset!! For our extended day, plans are in the works for a field trip. Students are asked to contribute $10.00 toward the cost of the field trip. Students should bring this in as soon as possible. I am excited to meet each one of you and look forward to spending time together performing a variety of Brainy Acts!
